Preview and getting started
What does the preview cost?
Nothing. We build your new website first and send you the link. You enter no payment details and make no commitment. If you do not like it, we delete it.
How quickly is the preview ready?
Usually within 24 hours. If we have questions, we email you.
What do you need from me?
For the preview, just your business name, your town and your email address. We take the rest from your current website and your Google listing. When you take the site over, we ask for the details your imprint needs.
Do I have to supply photos and texts?
No. We write the texts. The preview uses suitable placeholder images. Your own photos make the site better, though: just send them by message and we add them. You only need the rights to the images.
I already have a website. Is it still worth it?
Especially then. We build your new site based on the old one, just more modern, faster and made for phones. The preview shows you the difference straight away. Your old site is only replaced once you take over the new one.
Which businesses is Sitewunder for?
Small local businesses: trades, physiotherapy, dental and medical practices, hair and beauty salons, restaurants and cafés. Your industry is not listed? Ask anyway.
Changes
How do changes work?
Write to us in your account or by email to aenderung@sitewunder.com about what should change, with photos attached if you like. We make the change and let you know when it is online. Usually it only takes a few minutes.
What counts as a small change?
Texts, photos, opening hours, prices, a new team member, a new service or an extra section. As many as you need. Bigger rebuilds, such as a completely new structure, we discuss with you first.
Can I change things myself?
Yes. Opening hours, holiday hours, a notice banner, phone number and address you can change yourself in your account. It is online within seconds.
What if I do not like a change?
Every version of your website is saved. You can restore any earlier version with one click.
Pricing and contract
What does Sitewunder cost?
Basis costs €39 a month net (€46.41 including VAT), Plus €79 a month net (€94.01 including VAT). Pay yearly and you save 2 monthly payments. There is no setup fee.
When do I start paying?
Only once your new website is online. The preview is free. And if you are not happy within the first 30 days, you get your money back.
How long is the contract?
There is no minimum term. You cancel at the end of the billing period with one click in your account. If you pay yearly, that is the end of the paid year.
Why are prices shown net?
Sitewunder is for businesses only, and net prices are the norm there. Medical practices, physiotherapists and small businesses often cannot reclaim VAT, though. That is why we always show the gross price as well.
Basis or Plus?
Basis is enough for most businesses: up to 5 pages with everything that goes with them. Plus is worth it if you need more pages, a second language, job listings, a menu or online booking, or if you want us to look after your Google Business Profile.
What happens if I cancel?
Your website stays online until the end of the paid period. Your domain belongs to you and stays with you. On request, we send you your texts and photos.
Domain, technology and Google
Can I keep my domain?
Yes, your domain stays yours. We show you exactly which record to change at your provider, or we do it for you.
What happens to my email addresses?
Nothing. Your inboxes stay with your current provider; we only change where your website points. We do not offer email inboxes ourselves.
Will people find me on Google?
We lay the groundwork: fast loading, clean page titles and descriptions, and your address and opening hours in a format Google can read. No serious provider can promise you first place. A well-kept Google Business Profile helps a lot, and we look after it in the Plus plan.
Do I need technical knowledge?
No. You install nothing and learn nothing. If you can write an email, you can change your website.
Can I have online booking, reservations or a menu?
Yes. If you already use a booking or reservation system, we link it prominently. A menu, job listings and online booking as separate pages are part of the Plus plan.
Can I get an online shop?
No, we do not build shops with Sitewunder. An agency or a shop system is the better choice for that.
Legal and privacy
Do I really not need a cookie banner?
A consent banner is needed when a site uses tracking or loads content from third parties. Your Sitewunder website does neither: no analytics cookies, fonts are delivered with the site instead of from Google, maps only load after a click. So it does not need a banner.
Who writes the imprint and privacy policy?
We do. Both match your website and your details and are updated when something on the site changes. For practices and trades this includes the required details about chambers and professional rules. It does not replace individual legal advice.
Is there a data processing agreement?
Yes. Through your contact form we process your customers’ data on your behalf. You can get the data processing agreement (AV-Vertrag) from us on request.

Codext GmbH from Wolpertshausen near Schwäbisch Hall, Germany. We have been building online shops and websites for businesses for years. All company details are in the imprint.
